DENNIS ZIMMERMAN won the 25 lap Mini Stock feature on opening night at the Mottville Speedway Saturday night! Zimmerman took the lead from Jon Fitzpatrick on lap 7 and led the rest of the way for the win and $100 first place money! Jon Fitzpatrick, spun into a snow bank on lap 6 but came back for 2^nd followed Eric Root, John Fitzpatrick and Jesse Gaylord.

In the heat it was Zimmerman over John Fitzpatrick, Gaylord, Root and Jon Fitzpatrick.

Defending Pro Stock season points champion Paul Scott took home $160 by winning the 15 lap feature and heat over Jeff Brunt! Scott made it look easy on the wet track!

Two time defending Mini Thunder Car champion Fred Garrett won the 15 lap feature and heat and took home $60 while Derk Sargent was 2^nd.

Most drivers reported the track in pretty good condition despite a misty rain which fell all night and a temperature of 32.

Gaylord came all the way from Chicago to race!

We had a bunch of drivers watching but without cars including Robert Sutton, Randy Burns, Joe Fitzpatrick, Susan Beers, Richard Allbee and Merle Yoder! Hopefully they will have their cars running soon!

About the only real problem we had came very early when the pa system in front would not work. We finally discovered we had a bad microphone and put on a new one and it worked fine! The old one had been used at least 6 years.

The only snow on the track was up next to wall on the front stretch and turns one and two. Plus the infield, of course!

We made a very good pay-off with no driver receiving less than $25!

Sunday night we go for night 2 of the 85 night points season with gates opening at 5 and racing at 6 pm! Once again PS will pay $150 to win, MS $100, SS $100 and MTC $50. Some street stockers missed some easy money tonight as we would have paid $100 to win but we did not have any ss!

We ran the show in about 2 hours and hope to do the same Sunday night!
