POSTED MARCH 8 , 2003

JON FITZPATRICK  won his 2nd Mini Stock feature of the season on a cold and rainy Saturday night at the Mottville Speedway March 8! Fitzpatrick got by Merle Yoder early in the 25 lapper and went on for the win and $100 first place money! Yoder settled for 2nd and Eric Root 3rd.

Jeff Brunt won his first Pro Stock feature of the season over season points leader and defending champion Paul Scott in a 15 lapper and also won the heat and took home $110 for the night!

Two time Mini Thunder Car season points champion Fred Garrett won his 2nd feature of the season with a 15 lap victory over season points leader Derk Sargent. Sargent won the heat.

Richard Allbee had his new number 99 MTC done and it looked real good but the fuel pump failed to work and he was unable to race but hopes to have it done Sunday for racing!

The early afternoon was absolutely fantastic with a temperature near  50 and sunshine but about 3 pm the skies darkened and showers came in which did not leave until about 5:45 pm! Then the temperature began dropping! Still the track was rather good for racing despite being wet!

Sunday will be night number 5 already this season and points night number 4! Jon Fitzpatrick took over the points leader in the MS division! Sargent still leads the MTC and Scott the PS. We are still waiting for the first street stock and kart of the 2003 season!

We have not printed off the schedule which is now on this web site. That schedule shows 3 more Friday night shows which we will run. The reason we have not printed off the schedules as revised to hand out at the track is because we are currently talking to no less than 3 more outside groups about dates in 2003! I expect something to break soon on at least 2 of the 3 groups and will add them to our schedule, most likely on Saturday nights. Should be some very exciting shows!

Sunday is supposed to be cold but no where near as cold as last Sunday! Those willing to race in the less than ideal conditions so far this season are making pretty good money! Our plan is to pay MS and SS at least $100 to win if we have 3 or more cars in the division. Easy money to be had so get the cars ready and hope we see lots more of you soon!
