BARRY HARRISON won his first Mini Stock feature of the season on a beautiful Saturday night at Mottville Speedway as he won the 25 lapper over Jason Schaefer, John Yoder, Eric Root and Glenna Sargent!

Yoder led the first lap and Root took command until lap 4 when Harrison took over for good and held off Schaefer the rest of the way. It was Harrison’s 2nd night of racing at Mottville in 2003 but first time out with a brand new car!

Schaefer won the heat over Root and Harrison and the dash over Root and Yoder. Harrison took home $95 for the night!

Mike Grand won his 2nd street stock feature of the season and moved into 2nd in the season points standings as he beat season points leader Robert Sutton for the win in the 12 lapper! Grand also won the heat and took home $100 for the night!

Charlie Krontz had his beautiful new ss at Mottville for the first time this season but had heating problems during the heat and was unable to run the feature.

Two time defending Mini Thunder Car season points champion Fred Garrett just nipped current season points leader Derk Sargent on the final lap of the 15 lap feature for his 12th feature win of the season! Sargent was a very close 2nd followed by Chuck Hall and Richard Allbee. Results were the same in the heat.

John Hackler won his 3rd Mottville Mini Cup feature in as many tires as he took the 15 lapper over Freeman Hochstetler and Dave Kutz. Results were the same in the heat. The MMC cars return May 31 when they expect to have a season high 6 cars!

Ike Sloop won his 3rd kart feature of the season with a 12 lap victory over Tim Kurts. Results were the same in the heat.

We had 18 cars which is by far our high car for a Saturday night after other tracks have opened! Also one of our larger Saturday night crowds since other tracks opened!

Got an email from Todd Behlke this week and he states that starting next Saturday his wife, Jean, our first ever female track champion at Mottville, will be back driving a MS and son Andrew with be driving a MTC! Both cars are painted identical! Plus a foster son will be driving a kart and grandfather Tom Koehler driving a kart!

So car count is picking up each week!

12 year old Matt Van Dam returned to Mottville for the 2nd time but again had mechanical woes in the heat and was unable to run the feature in the MS division.

It was really nice to see Mike Grand run so well as he has really had big time problems all season but the car was truly awesome tonight!

Sunday hot dogs are 50 cents all night! If you get chili or cheese on them they are 75 cents and if you get both only $1! Pro Stocks join the field and I will asking the PS drivers if they want to run Memorial Day , May 26. We may well have our high car count for the season Sunday!

Then we have a triple header week-end coming up, the first of several this season! Saturday will be our first powder puff of the season, Sunday will be autograph night and Monday our first trophy night of the season!

Want to compliment Richard Allbee on doing a fine job of mowing and keeping the grounds looking really good! With all the rain we have had this is not easy!

We hope to put 2 new windows in the ticket booth Thursday. Both windows were cracked over the off season and we are getting two really good windows to replace them. Check them out next week-end!

Looking forward to a big night of racing Sunday and hope to see you at Mottville!
