MIKE GRAND won his 3rd Street Stock feature of the season and 2nd in a row Sunday night at the Mottville Speedway as he got by Ryan Buzzard on lap 10 of the 15 lapper and went on to the win!

Grand picked up $95 for the night  and secured his hold on 2nd place in the season point standings! Buzzard, driving at Mottville for the first time this season, was a close 2nd followed by season points leader Robert Sutton and Terry Zimmerman. In the heat Buzzard held off Grand for the win.

Pro Stock season points leader Paul Scott held off Jeff Brunt for his 11th feature win of the season in a 15 lapper! Ryan Prough was 3rd followed by Vern Hammond. Results were the same in the heat.

Jason Weaver won his 2nd Mini Stock feature in as many tries this season as he won the 25 lapper and $100 over Jason Schaefer, Eric Root, Joe Fitzpatrick, Glenna Sargent, Jon Fitzpatrick and Danny Zimmerman.

In the first heat Jaime Kline crossed the line first followed by Kristi Zimmerman. However both later failed tech inspection and Danny Zimmerman was awarded the win with Sargent 2nd. In the 2nd heat it was Weaver over Schaefer and Root.

Two time defending season points champion Fred Garrett just nipped current season points leader Derk Sargent at the line to win the 15 lap Mini Thunder Car feature! Richard Allbee was 3rd and David Edmonds 4th, In the heat it was Garrett over Allbee and Sargent while Allbee won the dash over Garrett and Sargent.

Mike Zehr came to Mottville for the first time in 2003 and won the kart heat and 8 lap feature.

This coming week-end is the first triple header week-end of the season at Mottville! Saturday night is our first ladies powder puff of the season, Sunday is our first autograph night of the season and Monday is our first trophy night of the season! The Pro Stocks will run both Sunday and Monday.

We actually had 3 female drivers in our MS division tonight for the first time in 2003! With Jean Behlke scheduled to come back next week-end we may well have 4!

The PS drives all wanted to run Memorial Day Monday so we added them to the schedule for Monday!

I will not be in the chat room Monday and Tuesday of this week but hope to be there Wednesday!

Looking forward to our first triple header week-end of this season! Joe Fitzpatrick told me work is about done on his home and he should be racing more at Mottville soon! With Barry Harrison back and Jean Behlke coming back the MS division should soon be at full strength on Sunday and close to full on Saturday!

Meanwhile our car count keeps slowly climbing! SS division is gradually getting there, painfully slow but growing! PS division is about what we expected and MTC, being a super economy division, will always have its ups and down. I imagine we will have nights with 12 of them this season and nights with 3!

Another week-end down and a triple header week-end coming up! Come on out to Mottville for some exciting racing!
