SHANE
ELDRIDGE won his 5th Mini Stock feature
of the season and took home $100 as he won the 15 lapper on a picture perfect
Sunday night at the Mottville Speedway!
Dan
Emmons was 2nd followed by Rick Fritz, Eric Root and Glenna Sargent.
Eldridge also won the heat over Emmons and Root.
Justin
Mosher won two Mini Thunder Car 15 lap features for his first 2 feature wins on
the season! In the first 15 lapper it was Mosher over David Cressler, Michelle
LaFreniere,
Richard Allbee, Mike Guthrie, Bill Neering and Tony Neering. In the 2nd
15 lapper it was Mosher followed by LaFreniere,
Allbee, Guthrie, Tony Neering and Cressler.
Cressler
won the dash over Allbee and Mosher. Allbee celebrated his 60th
birthday by winning two heats! In the first heat it was Allbee over Cressler and
LaFreniere
and in the 2nd heat Allbee won over Bill Neering and Cressler.
Pro
Stock season points leader Paul Scott won his 18th feature of the
season and also won the heat.
Mike
Zehr won two 10 lap kart features over Jacob Caines and both Zehr and Caines won
heats.
This
Saturday the Short Track Trucks Challenge Series. Com returns to Mottville and
Sunday it’s a ladies powder puff!
Found
out today that Eddie Hoffman, who won the 100 lap Sunoco Late Model Series at
Baer Field Thursday night, is the same Eddie Hoffman who won the
Indiana-Michigan Challenge Cup in 1991!
Bill
Neering told me some more about the Illiana Pure 4 cylinder stocks which are
basically our MTC with a claimer rule. They pay $25 for a pit pass and get a
flat $10 per car and winners get a trophy! But they get 85 cars per night!
Considering we pay no less than $10 per car and most get $15 or more you would
think we would have 150! Bill is very high on MTC and thinks you can have a ball
and not spend much! It was his first time in a MTC as he usually drives late
models. He had raced a Pro Stock with us in late 2001 and 2002.
Had
a question about the Marc Times and when they do and do not publish our results.
Well Dick Beebe always says he can not publish what he does not have but two
weeks ago we sent him
the Sat and Sun results and he did not publish either. Last week we sent him
both nights and he published Sat only so you figure it out!
We
now have 50 points nights in and to be on schedule for points money you would
need to have run 40 nights unless you drive a PS. Based on this only Eric Root
and Paul Scott are on schedule for points money with Richard Allbee and Glenna
Sargent still possibilities! Paul is a actually a cinch as he has perfect
attendance and has only 4 nights to go in 2003! Rumor is out that Paul may run a
SS at Mottville next season! Hope so!
With
5 MS we paid $100-$65 and $50 to the top 3 who were very close together at the
finish! For a 5 car field that is outstanding!
We
had a season high 9 MTC on hand and this class is really growing! We could
easily have 12-15 one of these nights soon!
Another
good Sunday in the books and looking forward to seeing the trucks this Saturday
and the ladies powder puff on Sunday!
Mosher
moved to 8th in the MTC point standings, Cressler 9th and
Tony Neering 10th! Shane
Eldridge moved to within 25 points of 6th in the MS point standings.
Sure would be great to have another 30 nights of so of weather like we had tonight! After all the bad weather we have had this season it would only be fair!
