Rules Disclaimer: The rules set forth herein are designed to provide for the orderly conduct of racing events and are to establish minimum acceptable requirements for such event. The rules shall govern the conditions of all Mottville Speedway events and by participation in these events, all drivers are deemed to have complied with these rules. NO EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM PUBLICATION OR COMPLIANCE WITH THESE RULES! They are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury or death to participants, spectators or others.

The Mottville Speedway shall be empowered to permit deviation from any of the specifications herein or impose any further restriction that in the officials’ opinion does not alter the minimum acceptable requirements.  NO EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM THE ALTERATION OF SPECIFICATIONS!  Any interpretation or deviation of these rules is left to the discretion of the official. Their decision is final. Officials may disqualify a car from running even though it may appear to meet the technical specification if, in their opinion, the car would so alter a division of racing, that no other car could compete with a reasonable chance of winning.

 


RULES FOR ALL CLASSES  

THESE RULES APPLY TO ALL DIVISIONS!!!

Fire suits are strongly recommended, but at least long sleeve shirt and pants required. All cars must have window nets that latch at top. Helmets must be approved Snell 1990 or newer. No mirrors. No radios, No consumption of alcoholic beverages by any driver or crewmember in the pits at any time or anywhere during racing program. All cars must have VISIBLE tow hook, front and rear. All cars must have VISIBLE numbers on both sides of car.. Cars/karts must not omit more than 100 decibels. No tractioning devices allowed.

NO ANTIFREEZE IS ALLOWED UNTIL AFTER OCTOBER 15!!

. Fuel cell or approved fuel container must be securely fastened in forward area of trunk. Gasoline fuel only. All cars must have firewall between driver and engine and driver and fuel tank. An approved safety harness must be securely fastened to the car and worn at all times. An approved fire extinguisher within reach is mandatory. Cars must be self-starting and have working reverse gear. Doors, hoods and trunk must be securely fastened.  Remove all upholstery and glass except front windshield. Nerf bars permitted max 1” square or round. Absolutely no refunds for any reason at any time! All cars must be registered to run, no sale or transfer of registration allowed. If the car doesn’t run for 3 consecutive weeks at Mottville Speedway the number will be declared open! A car may run in only one division per night. A driver running in more than one division will have the price of 2nd pit pass deducted from pay for each additional division. No cooking grills or open coolers in the pits. Non-competitive cars will be dqed in safety interests (official’s judgment) 4-post roll cage required for SS. Recommended for other classes. . $10 fine per tire left on track property. Cars left on track property and not raced for two weeks will be removed for junk, $50 towing fee.

Spoiler Rule: Max 8” spoiler, no side wings, no wider than width of car.

 Any added weight must be securely fastened and painted white.

No representation is made that any points fund will be paid. However, if one is paid, it will be only paid to those drivers who race at least 80% of the nights in a division and attend the awards banquet.. Track may declare double pts, triple pts or bonus points with or without notice! When 2 events have been run it will be considered an official night of racing.

Pay-offs not claimed on the date of the race will be held for one week only and will only be paid on a race night. Under no circumstances will be a pay-off be mailed!

In order for any car to be paid the driver must have signed the ‘RELEASE AND WAVIER OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT” and paid for a driver pit pass! If the driver is not on the driver list for above document the car will not be paid!

Anyone under the age of 18 entering the pits must have on file a “MINOR RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT” signed by a parent or legal guardian of the minor which releases the track from all liability for any and all injuries to the minor.. No minor may enter the pit area unless with a responsible adult.

MINI THUNDER CAR DIVISION: 4 Cylinder or 6 cylinder,  Front Wheel Drive ONLY.   Six cylinders must be automatic transmission only! No rotary engines! Single cam only! Max 65 series DOT  radial tires with max diameter of 15”, no recaps allowed.   max 6” rim,. OK to camber and caster rt. front wheel. No locked rear-ends!  Remove all upholstery and glass except front windshield, roll cage optional, optional to move gas tank to trunk.  Optional to move battery to inside car if secured tightly. Reasonable protection for radiator ok.   Any other  added bracing must be for safety only.  Suspension must be factory stock and in stock location. Stock radiator in stock location. Dash must remain in stock location.  This is “FUN CLASS!”!  Any car track officials deem too fast for this class will be moved to the Sports Stock class!

SPORT STOCKS DIVISION- Normal safety rules. See Rules Disclaimer above and rules for all classes above!  Gasoline fuel only (racing fuel is gasoline! So ok!)..No coil-overs, no dry sump system. Max 8” wheels. No wings allowed. Car must have a roof, fenders, hood and trunk enclosed.
