SUNDAY JULY 8, 2001

Tim Palmer held off a hard charging Robert Teadt, Jr. to win his first Mottville Stock feature of the season on a hot and humid Sunday night at the Mottville Speedway as he won the 25 lap event. Teadt settled for a close 2^nd followed by David Schaefer, Jason Schaefer, Merle Yoder, Jean Behlke, Wesley Schaefer and Travis Keeter.

David Schafer won the dash over Yoder and Behlke and won the heat over Yoder and Behlke.

Jeff Brunt won his first feature ever in winning the 25 lap Street Stock feature. He took the lead on lap 6 from Ray Simpson Jr. and was never seriously challenged! Terry Kline finished 2^nd by mere inches over Scott Baker while Simpson was 4^th followed by Randy Morley, John Culp, Dennis Zimmerman, Paul Scott and Warren Sprague. Baker won the dash over Brunt and Morley while Brunt won the heat over Simpson and Baker.

Jamie Kline won her 4^th Thunder Car feature of the season in a 15 lap win over Eric Root, Terry Kline and Morley, Jamie Kline took command at the halfway point when the cars were turned around to run the opposite way around the track. Terry Kline won the heat over Morley and Steve Barkby.

Rookie Nathan Aumack made it 7 Mini Thunder Car feature wins on the season as he took the 15 lapper over Fred Garrett, Paul Zimmerman, Mike Jones and Mike Aumack. Garrett won the heat over N. Aumack and M. Aumack.

Ken Bennett came to Mottville for the first time this season and won the 12 lap kart feature over Justin Stump, Tom Koehler, Tod Behlke and Andrew Behlke. Andrew Behlke won the dash over Stump and Koehler. Heat winners were Stump and Bennett..
