GARY DENZEL  won his 2nd feature of the season on a threatening weather night at the Mottville Speedway Sunday night! With dark clouds all around it looked like it might rain any second but it held off until the races were over! Denzel won the 35 lap Bomber feature over season points leader Randy Burns who was 2nd. Stan Siczek crossed the finish line 3rd but was dqed in post race inspection for soft tires. David Logan was awarded 3rd followed by Scott Rozner and Robert Sutton.
Sutton won the dash and Denzel won the heat.
Pro Stock season points leader Paul Scott won his 23rd feature of the season with another 35 lap victory! Ryan Buzzard, now 3rd in the season point standings, was 2nd. Buzzard won the heat.
Rob Atkinson won the Midwest Mini Stockar Racing Association 25 lap season championship feature for his first feature win of the season! Tim Brundige was 2nd followed by Dave Kutz, Gene Atherton and Freeman Hochstetler. Atkinson also won the heat.
Jerry Benson won the season points championship followed by Brundige, Atkinson, Atherton and Hochstetler.
Jason Schaefer ran a mini Stock for the first time this season and went on to win his first feature of the season with a 25 lap victory over Jimm Jones, John Fitzpatrick, Jon Fitzpatrick and Eric Root. Schaefer also won the heat.
Mini Thunder Car season points leader Fred Garrett won his 18th feature of the season but had to work hard to do it in the 25 lapper! At the halfway point Steve Clifford was leading the cars were turned around ran the wrong way for the 2nd half of the race. Danny Zimmerman moved to lead but was sent to the tail after lap 17 for having too big a lead! Clifford managed to come home 2nd followed by Susan Beers, Derk Sargent, Zimmerman and Robert Parker. Clifford won the dash and Beers won the heat.
Jacob Caines won his first kart feature of the season in an 8 lapper and also won the dash and moved into 2nd in the season point standings.
Regular Saturday and Sunday night racing continues at Mottville through November 30 with each night being triple points plus bonus points. October 26 and 27 is the 17th Annual Indiana-Michigan Challenge Cup.
Saturday, January 4,2026 will see the return of Mottville Madness VI!
We are expecting pretty good car counts for the next two week-ends if the weather holds and that is always a big if! First we need dry weather and then we need mild! If we get both then our car counts for the next four nights should be great! We are certainly getting lots of calls and emails from drivers from Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Illinois!
I was most pleased at how good this past week-end was considering the strong competition we faced from the north!
We really did just beat the rain as it came down hard and I mean hard just as we were ready to do pay-off!
Susan Beers says her brother Dennis worked on her MTC 117 and he had really got it running fast! Look for her to win a feature or two before the season is over!
Speaking of MTC I want to remind everyone again that this is a "fun class"! No one will be permitted to make it other than that! We will put cars to the tail that get too big a lead and we will at times run the wrong way around the track! If you can not live with this then move to MS!
Denzel really looked fast in his Bomber feature win! Amazing how a car can be so fast one night and middle of the pack or so another!
I think Siczek has now set the record for most times dqed for soft tires as this makes twice this season and I really do not remember anyone being dqed twice in one season before!
Clifford moved into 3rd place in the MTC season point standings! Parker moved into 7th and Sargent into 8th! With triple pts each night and bonus points the rest of way-15 nights-things could get really interesting!
Looking forward to getting our rest rooms completed and the 6 new track lights working by next week-end! Plus I need to paint the walls again as we have really marked them up the last two week-ends!
Plenty of good racing left at Mottville so come on out and see it!
